Platys with Cardinal Tetras?

Is it ok to keep platys with Cardinal tetras?

I currently have 6 Red dwarf platys in my 10 gallon tank already but I'm really attracted to the Cardinal tetra. So I'm wondering if my tank will be overstocked if I add some Cardinal tetras.

I love platys especially those red orange bloated ones. My only gripe is that they are loners and don't school well but are peaceful so should be a good community tankmate.

What filter are you using? Some fishkeepers overfilter and conduct more frequent partial water changes when overstocking.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I'm using a Dolphin H100 hang-on filter.

Yes, the type of platy I have is the Red bloated ones. They've been with me for about a month now and the colour is really red now.
