    Hi

Was thinking of doing a high tech, low maintenance planted tank.

Usually high tech likely not associated with low maintenance but I reckon the choice of the plants will be the crucial point.

May I have your opinion of using Hydrococyte Triparite for a two feet planted tank of 36cm height.

Foreground likely to be hairgrass mini with the midground some annubias, S Repens and Crypt.

    Thks.

The correct spelling should be Hydrocotyle tripartita Japan. High tech means different things to different people. I am running a high tech tank (co2) with low light with low maintenance since dec. I am into my 3rd water change this weekend.

Other than annubias and crypts, I don't think the other plants are low maintenance. Hydrocotyle tripartita doubles or triple it's mass in 2-3 weeks and you will be looking at quite a number of trimmings per month.

Have this in my current tank as fore and mid ground plant.
Rephrasing my earlier question, is this suitable for background plant, thks.
