Hello! As I am moving into a new house soon I'm thinking of starting up a brand new tank.

    Right now I am thinking of getting a [90 x 45 x 45] tank.

As I'm trying to aquascape it to look like a "River landscape" . I'm not sure after the type of filters and lights I should get.

Can anyone advise me on what type of filters ( Their brand and outflow ) to use and lighting (Brand, Moonlight) to use.

Appreciate all advises and opinion !

Sort of a new tank of that dimension HAHA!
    I have a 45 x 30 x 30 tank now and it's kinda hard to maintain I guess.
Heard that a larger tank would be easier !

What sort of green element LED ?
And which series of canister filter though

    Hmmmm. 2280 or 2260 eh?
Actually i need one with a gentle flow that does not create a "dead" zone of current hahaha !

    Re: New Aquascape Tank

difficult to have gentle flow and no dead zone...
if got space 2260... 2280 I find that it is just enough for a 3ft..
or maybe 2280 with 1 wavemaker

    Re: New Aquascape Tank

I am using pro3 2073 with rainbar (eheim installation set)attached to the 45cm wall.
I pointed each of three segments at different angles, but still there are some dead spots right under the rain bar, for this area, I used a small internal filter with 2.5w rating. This works as circulation pump, able to trap suspended dirt/particles in the water column and I use this to pump water up to tank from pail during WC.

    Re: New Aquascape Tank

So now that My new house is almost ready. I'm beginning to do more research for my new tank !

    From what i see, ADA Cube Garden 90 ( 90 x 45 x 45 ) cost $791 from Green Chapter ! Along with their cabinet ( $580 ).

Lighting wise, I'm waiting for the new ONF lighting ! Forgot how much it cost though. ( Heard that they have a new product coming on in early 2018 with Moonlighting effect)

I'm still not too sure how am i going to do my aquascape, to do it myself or find someone to build it for me =X .

For the fish/shrimps i'm gonna put in. Anyone can help me see if it's compatible?

Tetra : Black Neon or Glowlight

Catfish : Farlowella Vittata ( Twig Catfish ) Been mesmerized for years!

Shrimps: Fire Red Shrimp or Golden Shrimp ( Saw some in C328 and Y618 )

Crayfish: Mexican Dwarf Crayfish ( Not sure if it will attack tankmate or not.... )

Snail : Assassin Snail ( Get rid of pest snail! )

Pipefish : Indostomus ( Toothpick fish by Y618 ) This is such a lovely fish.

I've been thinking of getting microcrab too but i'm not sure if my setup will be ideal for it. Oh well..

    Re: New Aquascape Tank

Tank wise, you could go custom made for that price or even cheaper. and bigger Or have a look at East Ocean. Not ADA stuff but more wallet friendly and stuff is equally nice.

Other good places to shop for accessories would be Nature Aquarium and Seaview.

I would take out the pipefish from the livestock list. They are notoriously hard to feed and mortality is high.

The crayfish are omnivores so I wouldn't trust bottom dwellers and sleeping fish with them.

For inspiration, (entertainment in my case) I follow George Farmer

    And Aquapros

    Their projects seem more attainable.

    Re: New Aquascape Tank

Oh well. I had already had a purchased with GreenChapter for the ADA 90P aquarium tank with their cabinet.=(

Right now i was suggested to get "Eheim Professionel 4+ 350 (2273)".

While waiting for the ONF Flat One Lighting, I was suggested to get a "CHIHIROS A PLUS 90cm"

Also, as i was moving house, i had my CO2 cylinder wrapped up and laying on its' side for near 1 year... Will it still be working? My ANS Solenoid Regulator had been in idle mode too. Not sure if it is still working =(

    Re: New Aquascape Tank

    Oh yes.

Between ANS Solenoid Regulator and INTENSE Solenoid Regulator. What's the main differences?

Between Chihiros A Plus 90Cm and UP Aqua Pro Z series lighting, What's the main differences if I am only goin to use for a short term?

Also, i would like to check if i want to get a pendant lighting, do i have to drill hole ? How do i actually install it? Please advise !
