Hi, recently I just did a fishless cycle using fish waste and fish food as ammonia in my new nano shrimp tank. Tank cycled after 2 weeks, but it was infested with planaria and small tiny worms (I think could be detritus worms) on my glass walls. I dosed "no planaria" and had stopped throwing in fish food, After 3 days, no sight of planaria, but the tiny white worms still around, and I saw many small white dots on my glass too. Need advise to get rid of these worms.

    Thanks

No worry for the small tiny worm as long planaria are gone. The tiny worm has some benefit to your tank as they helped to decompose organic matter.
One way to get rid of them is too stop putting fish food for cycling and do more cleaning. This key thing is to starve them with food and control their number.

Hi dreamer, thx for your kind advises, very helpful as im a first timer. Yesterday I got impatient and dosed 2 x the recommended dose 😂 I think those white dots could be the dead worms. I will do a water change to prevent high ammonia and nitrite from the dead worms, and let water parameter stablize for couple days first before getting the shrimps =). V looking forward to

I spoke too early..... spotted a fast crawling small white worm, likely to be planaria..... unlike detritus that wiggle, afew longer detritus worms actually hiding in my sponge filter .... i dosed another 2 x no planaria and stir the entire soil....
