    Added mollies recently as was having bad hair algae problem, they did a good job, the problem is contain now, no visible trace of hair algae

    Either you place the fry somewhere or the SAE will eat them if they can fit its mouth. SAE are omnivore, not true algae eater like Oto.

    Hi Squall99e, have you ever try feeder shrimps (ghost shrimps) ah? Always wonder does ghost shrimps as hardworking cleaner as Yamato or not.

    I tried ghost shrimps. Don't really see them eating the algae. Instead they competed for food meant for my fishes and corys. Sae helped for me. So did reduction of lighting duration. If you have co2 you can try increasing it a little.

    I use an army of shrimps, horn snails, Ottocinclus, but the best way to take care of these age is to get yourself an toothpick brush, the type that is used to clean in-between the teeth. These you connect to a 3mm brass, plastic pipe, then use this to curl even the smallest amount out of your tank on daily bases. After 4 month (initial start of tank) my alge is reduced to 90% and for sure in some weeks its all gone.
