Hi all, am doing a custom tank, and would like to have a couple of holes at the bottom of the tank. But the tank maker does not seem to be enthusiastic.

are there problems with drilling holes on the bottom of the tank?

    thanks

Disclaimer, i am a newbie so don't know if what I am asking for is totally stupid.

    Re: Drilling holes in Tank

Should not be an issue. Tank makers that make tanks with external sumps drill holes in tank glass routinely. If your tank maker is reluctant, then I'd be concerned about his skills.

The only situations that I know of that a skilled tank maker may be reluctant, would be if there are too many holes or too close to the edge.

If you ask, I'm sure members here are willing to recommend some good tank makers.

Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
