It's about 1 month after the initial filling up of the tank. Before that, spent about 1 month in the dry planting phase for the Monte Carlo and some of the Hydrocotyle type plants to develop.
The initial planting.
The first filling up of the tank
After 1 month of submerge growth. Water had gone thru a bacteria boom and is still somewhat cloudy but cleared up quite a bit since last week.
My current fish tank corner...still deciding what to do with the >15yrs old 2ft tank beside it.

My first time seriously attempting a carpet too...so can't really tell what is the problem. Could it be the light not being strong enough? One of the reason for me experimenting with dry planting is I thought without the water to reduce the intensity of the light needing to go thru water during the initial phase...then the other part that is purely guess work, I also thought that without the water to lift things up, the MC would be forced to grow flat and have the roots growing into the substrate. Hahaha...just crazy thinking. :P
Sorry hijack this thread hope some gurus here can help
