    hi can someone help me in differentiating between e.quadricostatus and e.tennelus both of them looked the same in the pics below. thanks

    The second picture doesn't look like E. Tenellus.
    E. Tenellus has much finer leaves and has reddish streaks running along its leaves. It is also much smaller in size compared to E. Quad.

    this was the one i more commonly see on the bk nature aquarium which is used by Amano. Is this the one you are referring to?

    The picture linked in your post quoted above is tenellus.

    The earlier pictures are E. quad.

    I once had another species similar to that of the E. quad, except for thinner leaf blade. Dennerle named it as Echinodorus spec. grisebachii.

    e tennulus has a darker shade of green with pinkish shoots growing. e quad i think is lighter green in colour, more like a fatter version of blyxa i think
