Would like to grow a pure culture of Paramecium.

Tried growing hay infusion using different pond samples but cant seem to have paramecium in the culture. probably my starting pond samples have minimal of them.

Anybody knows where I could get a good sample of that?

    Thanks in advance.

What I did is get water from my tank, put a few leaves of cabbage and drip 1 drop of yogurt. Let it set for a few days with a bit of light source

I've had success raising daphnia in a small tank/bucket where I also grew out duckweed with a very mild flow and T5 lights at about 78F. Used them to feed my tilapia fingerlings.

They survive in my outdoor ponds without any special help even while being fed upon, however, in a tank they disappear quickly if in with the fish.
