    Hi guys,

I'm relatively new to apistos and recently got 2 female and 1 male macmasteri in a 2ft tank. A pair has been formed and they appear close to spawning. However, the pair is constantly chasing around the other female, who has taken on the dark stress colouration. Any idea on how to solve this?

Hi there, you can simply just remove the female that is being chased since a pair has been formed.

This would be better for the female being constantly under attacked.

what is your " problem " here that you're trying to solve

    Re: Apistos fighting

Was out of options at the time so I did a bit of research and added in 2 caves, one for each female and also planted more densely. That seems to have solved the problem and now all 3 of them get along just fine

Glad you got that sorted out. I hate having to move or get rid of fish because they are fighting, much rather find a way to sort it out.
