2 fishes from my 2ft tank sick, near death

I am relative newbie. Kept fishes in the past and in my childhood too.

I have 3 tanks, a 1.5ft Betta tank, a 2ft tank and another 3ft tank which currently is leaking and kept aside(using Ikea SAMLA container while I fix the leak, refer to my other thread tank that is leaking).

You can read about my tank leak here
    http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...situation-grim

This is regarding the 2ft tank which is already cycled. Dimensions are 2ft(L) X 1ft(W) X 1.5(H). This tank had 1 goldfish, 2swordtails and 1 pleco.

Water quality with API test kit currently is
    Ammonia 0ppm, Nitrites 0ppm, Nitrates 20ppm, PH 7.4.

But last one week my gold-fish started losing scales. As if it is ammonia burn or something. Since yesterday this goldfish is lethargic and not eating anymore. It was eating and behaving fine until Saturday evening.

Even if the scale issue has been happening for a week now, it was not this bad though. I thought it was because of an ammonia burn when my main tank broke down, I had to put fishes together for 6hours or so in the small 2ft tank following the main tank leak.

I don't have a hospital tank. So this morning I put Betta into Ikea Tank T0 and moved Goldfish for the time being to a 1.5ft tank where Betta was initially placed.

Then I saw my Swordtail also was hanging upside down and what seems to be peel of scales or skin near tail on both the sides. I have no clue what is happening.

Is it a burn or parasite? I think it is too late for both the fishes now... But I wanted to know if I need to treat all my tanks or something? Now only 3 mountain minnows remain in the 2ft tank where the goldfish and swordtail came from. Should I treat that tank? Water quality still reads fine.

Is this Ich parasite? Please guide me with right pointers.

this is a very very bad combination.
the pleco is sucking and feasting on the goldfish hence the lost of scale.
as for the swordtail, it might be other problem and after it was dead, the pleco was feasting on it.

I would suggest leaving the tank alone for the moment and let it stabilize.

I have read and learned from mulitple sources that pleco and goldfish can go in same tank. This is the first time someone is warning me on this. Now I am more confused.

Goldfish and other large slow moving fish are like lollipop to fish such as plecos and Chinese algae eater.

Anyway Godfish died this morning. Despite my best efforts in a 10gallon hospital tank.
