Anyone has experience to using eheim 2217 hook to a chiller? Wonder if it's powerful enough from flow perspective for a 120L tank? Thanks for sharing.

It depends on the chiller you get. Check the maximum and minimum flow rate required for the chiller. Make sure your filter can meet the maximum or slightly exceed it to compensate for flow reduction due to head-lost, clogging and other inline equipment.

    120 L is around ADA tank size at 60cm x 45cm x 45cm.

The flow wise is depend on the chiller model you are using.

I am hook up the 2217 to arctica chiller 1/3 hp with ISTA CO2 reactor on my 3ft tank.

The water flow out from filter outlet to CO2 reactor, then to chiller outlet is quite slow.

Thus i am using another 1 2217 to create the flow in the tank.

The chiller can chiller the tank as normal.

    My experience for reference.
