Have a small accident, the soil collapse a bit, which causes the sand to have some specks of soil.
CO2 also somehow not working! Hope my Cuba can hang on!
Wow! Looks fine from the photos, they are quite sturdy pants I think they can go awhile without co2. Awesome job!

Strange, the hc seems to be growing upwards, any ideas?
Sending a small team of clean up crew first, to clear the dead leaves and such
Man, I know how you feel. My CO₂ set wasn't working properly for the first week or two and it was a mad scramble between getting a new set, wait for it to be repaired or switch to low-tech setup temporarily. Luckily it was just a minor issue and was easily fixed.
Have you managed to get yours working?
Just guessing but I think it could be due to insufficient CO₂.

Hi nanoscaper, i got a refund and place an order for another system. But currently as the stock has not arrived, the LFS is kind enough to loan me one spare first, to tide over the period.
Insufficient? It could be true, I read it somewhere also. Currently I think I’m pumping 3-4 bps, I could see a level of bubbles formed at the top. I do heard Cuba lust for co2 a lot as well.
how’s your tank doing?
This is what I call service. Makes you want to go back there again and again. Can tell us the name of that kind shop?
For the HC in my tank, it was doing the same thing while I sorted out the CO₂ issue (I wasn't able to dial in the correct amount of injection rate).
Once I got it sorted out, I started observing the HC growing horizontally and rooting in to the substrate. Happy days!
P.S. I watched the following video over and over again to get a better idea of how to grow HC correctly.

Very nice setup bro! It reminds me to “The Tree” by Norbert Sabat!

BTW, if carpet growing upwards, it might due to lack of lighting too. However, it can be seen your lighting is very strong. The plants might take sometimes to adjust and grow properly. Be patient bro!

Clean up the tank a bit. Today added the new pump, now everything in the water seems to be flying.
Hc slowly carpeting with my tank average around 30-31 degrees . Change to eheim flow pipe also as the lily pipe is not gentle enough for my tank. A bit ugly, but ok lah..
Side by Side
I'm actually biased towards ANS products after my solenoid broke last month. I don't fancy their ANS pipes as their incline angle tend to push water towards the surface (outflow) instead of creating this cyclonic water column that both ADA/VIV has. I used to use ADA lily pipes but have downgraded to Hinterfeld VIV lily pipes this year. Surprisingly the VIV pipes are exactly the same in thickness and shape. It also cost less than 1/4 of ADA price. However, ADA glass do have slightly more clarity but when used in operations after 3-4 months with algae growth, can't really tell the difference.
