Re: My 640l Home Tank in Jakarta

The bottom is filled with a special compost that has aged for some years, screened and dried over some days in the sun. I have set a 2-4cm layer direct on the bottom. Then rough black Lava sand 4-12mm, 5-10cm above to get a flow through it, these is then covered with the same lava sand 1-2mm. I fertilise with self made clay balls where I added my dry fertiliser and CSM+B and Iron Chelate. As you can see on the pictures the plants are doing fine.

Re: My 640l Home Tank in Jakarta

Thanks for the info, I don't make my self a headache by setting up, the hair age is the only bit that is still bothering me, but soon the plants take over when fully established. I use a toothpick brush to turn them out of the plants daily, so easy go.
