hi bros
Need some advice from chiller users
Recently bought a hailea chiller hc-100a to cool down my 45cm tank 10 gallon tank
the chiller stated flow rate 200-1000L/hr
i have a spare Aquazonic powerhead 1800L/hr 18 watts, and i attached a Large sponge filter to make it a simple filter. lolz...
is this pump too powerful for hailea chiller hc-100a? will the chiller be damage?
i saw a Rio-neu 600 pump at c328 and it stated 600L/hr 2.2 watts only.
i am not sure if Rio-neu 600 is a better choice for my chiller?
thanks

When there is water, there will be fish
hi bro derek,
Thanks for advice, can i use the rio-neu 600L/hr or 900L/hr pump better?
i am looking at rio series because they seems to be very power efficient with low wattage eg. 2.2w and 6w only
i read in some blogs the higher the flowrate the more efficient the chiller will work?
thanks
Chiller comes with min and max flow rate. Follow those instructions, you are safe.
I have 1250lph filter connected via chiller on 2ft x 1ft x 1.5 ft tank. Flow os just nice. Lot of plant mass thou
600lph may be too little to drive that long pipe work, 900lph seem appropriate for your tank

bought a rio-neu 1200L/hr but realize the outlet pipes is 16mm instead of 12mm of my chiller inlet pipes
gonna change back to rio-neu 900L/hr. still waiting for seller to revert for the change.
happy CNY!
