    Hello,
I had been soaking my driftwoods for more than 3 days now.
I have three and one of them had already sank but the rest just won't.
How long does it normally take and do you guys boil it at all?

Boiling up to to speed up sinking of the drift wood. It soak my wood for 2 to 3 weeks. But some I noticed do not sink. It could be because of density even after soaking them in boiling water.

My driftwood started to sink but they still leech out tannin =(
Should i just throw them into my tank and let the filter do the cycling?

If you don't mind the brownish look then can just throw in the tank and start cycling..
if not, just boil a few more times ..
if not, add in purigen to the filter

    Re: Driftwood won't sink

Driftwoods leaking tannin out is normal. No worries, some fish even likes it! :P

You can boil the wood several times to speed up the leaking process. It would be like tea in the making. You can just setup the tank as normal and do more regular water change when you see the water a bit yellowish. After few weeks, things will get better!

I did write up some treatment process last time during my first tank setup. Cheers!

Purigen helps purify water, keeps them clear and helps with your nitrate. But then, you get one more thing to maintain when comes to cleaning. For the time being, you can try boiling the wood further or just do more water change. Water will be ok soon. I will not worry too much.

I see. Thank you all for the guidance.

I had purchased the eheim profession 4+ 350. Can i check if their filtration media is good or should i purchase others to put it in?
I had the ADA Rio stuff from previous time.

Also, I am using purely ADA substrate.

Hahaha, no need to thank me for guidance because I am new too. The Eheim profession comes with the substrate PRO II? If it does, just use it. It is good. Replace it when it starts to break up. You can add ADA RIO stuff as a separate bag to the Profession 4.
