If I gave the cories away would i have space to keep a pleco eg. L183 or the common bristlenose pleco? Heard they are useful to combat GDA

Yeah I suspect excessive light at the start as the tank is facing my window and i forgot to cover the back of the tank, covered it already and amount of algae seems to be decreasing

IMO, first thing you need to do is clean the glass tank properly and do more regular water change. Reduce the lighting hours or intensity. Horned nerite snails might be useful to eat the algae here.

Will they eat the algae on my anubias? I dont mind algae on the sides of the tank as much but I'm worried about the anubias

Your anubias will be fine. The snails will do no damage to them.

Hi bro, the cleanliness of the tank should be taken as a whole. To minimize algae, it would be better to clean the tank wall and equipment regularly to avoid it building up and spreading the algae spores around. Snails will be eating algae gently on leaves, no worries!

Cleaned the tank thoroughly and replaced the lamp with a more even lighting, will carry out more frequent water changes too

    Re: Is this algae?

You can try adjust the lighting intensity and duration to see what best for plants. Too much lighting might cause algae to bloom.
