What is your tank water temperature ?
I had started my new tank for almost 17 days.
My HC was growing quite well and some patches were pearling but recently some of them started to melt away!
What could be going wrong exactly? My other plants are all growing well and i had added shrimps and oto to combat against algae if any.
Was dosing the tank with ADA Green Brighty step 1

If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.
Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
I think temperature is not much an issue to grow HC provided it is gradually acclimatise to the temp of your tank.
I can easily grow HC into a carpet in emersed DSM at the current hot weather. It's more to do with amount of CO2 injection and light in submerse form that will make or break it for you.
What is DSM? =X
My carpet ain't spreading =(
For a 90cm tank, how much co2 should i pump out?
DSM= Dry Start Method. Google search.
Also the understand the term emerse and submerge.
Oh i am alr at the submerge level. I didn't do it at the DSM method. I have no idea how much CO2 i should pump out.
I think there are a lot of factors that causes this problem and CO2 might just be on of them. DSM is a good method to carpet your tank as it had plentiful of CO2 from the air... but as we flood our tank, the CO2 in the tank will not be as much and thus we will need to inject CO2. The amount might varies depending on your water and whether theres a lot of surface agitation, but generally you can go abt 4-5 bubbles per second or if you have a PSI meter, abt 30-35PSI. Do take note that its best to have a solenoid so that you can control the timing of the CO2 injection. Having a good water flow is also important as it distribute the nutrients all over the tank
Just my 2 cents worth, its been a long time since I am into this hobby, 10yrs to be exact. Time to learn and re-learn
