I used to keep quite a few different types of wild betta. If I recall correctly, the smaller sized species should have not problem sharing a one feet tank if there are enough hiding space.
Mind sharing which shop was selling them?
Cheers,
Bought myself a pair of wild bettas over the weekend; labelled as Betta Coccinas at the LFS,
I have not kept wild bettas before but this is what i gathered on books about these fishes; please correct me if I'm wrong...and i will appreciate any additional info on upkeep.
- a pH of about 5.2, using Ketapang leaves
- feeding FBW
- jumpers, so housed in covered tank
- need plently of hiding spaces.. I'm using pvc tubes
- bubble-nesters
Qns- Can i keep more than a pair in a 1 ft small tank? what about agression if there are more than 1 male?
Cheers

Where did you bought your pair? from what I read, the name "Coccinas" could cover a few different species, I suspect mine are brownorum as well, probably need to post pic to get a id on them.
Have not bred B.coccina before so don't dare to say any, but they are hardy, with slight effort, 1 male + 2 female, some tend to build the bubble nest on below the water surface, so got to pay attention on it. It's one of the fish that are TOO cheap compare to its real value.
