this is how it looks like under the current settings, thinking of lowering warm light from 30% to 20% as it appears a bit too yellowish...
hi guys, I tried to replicate the ADA grand solar RBG light spectrum based on the chart they published (see pic) on my 4 radions accordingly i.e.
blue 100%, green 80%, red 90%, cool white 50%, warm white 0% and did not find it look as good as ADA RGB, of course RGB has a diffuser and the makes the light more even but it appears slightly nicer in comparison... end up I set to blue 100%, green 80%, red 90%, cool white 60% (instead 50% as I find it a bit dim), warm white 30% (prefer a bit yellowish tinge). Another thing is mine is 8K color temperature while ADA is 9-12K... wondering why...
Just wondering if anyone has tried this experiment before and care to share, curious to find out if there is a difference in the LED used, I guess the position and number of different colours bulbs and combination are some factors..

Have you tried using the diffuser ? What I viewed from some youtube videos is that the diffuser greatly mixes the different led bulb colors and what is projected out is of uniform pattern instead of different color .
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.

Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
From online videos, Solar RGB is a bit more on the cool side than your second picture. And I agree with BFG - the diffuser will make a big difference.
Can I know what your tank dimensions are? 4x Radions is a lot of light.
Edit: Nevermind...saw in your Aquascape post it's 622. Nice!
yes, its cooler because I added 30% warm white to my personal preference of a bit of sunlight feeling but thinking of now lowing it to 20%
Can I ask your advice on how many of these Radion you'd recommend for a 150x60x60 tank? They are my dream upgrade but can't figure out whether 3 or 4 is better. Some day...
you should go with 4 as for my 6ft tank, there are some small areas with shadows with 4 but I'm actually ok overall. 1 radion can only cover around 50x50cm although its specs says around 60x60cm but also depends on how high you hang, the higher, the bigger the coverage. Currently, I hang them at 22cm above water which is about the recommended height of 21cm (8 inches).
My current radion light schedule and settings:

any advise on the schedule? should I go for below ones with a constant light intensity?
