Hello guys! First time joining a forum, very exciting, for me. I’ve been in the in the hobby since dippers, (thanks mom) only more actively involved in the last 6 years. But I really love just about anything aquatic!
    Here’s my 29g FW babe...

    Re: New here :)

So I have a conundrum I need to help with..

In my tank.. a Blue Gourami, 2 Veil Angels, a BN Albino Pleco, a Julii Cory. Cat, an Oto catfish, about 9 Amano Shrimp, & 1 Tiger Nerite Snail

The wood is boiled for over 4 hours & all my plants were soaked in an algae killing solution containing copper for a few minutes then rinsed off with purified water; to kill all snails and eggs that may have been on them. It’s been 4 months since I added the last set of plants.

I keep a freshwater system and I don’t treat with FW salt.

So now I have come to discover that I have a baby snail in my tank..
I know my snail doesn’t breed in FW, only brackish.
Also, I’ve had the snail for a good 7 months.

HOW DID THIS COME TO BE??

    The baby..

The adult.. (sorry for the blurriness)

The "baby snail" looks very much like a pond snail.
