A shot in the dark here . Could that area sustained an impact from being dropped ? Have not experienced leaks from there but the leak should happen at the white tape area or after the area where you pointed it out .

Was trying to attach CO2 regulator to CO2 bottle.
After attached the CO2 regulator to CO2 bottle, i turn the knob at the CO2 and found the finger pointed areas contain gas leak.
What cause this leak and any method to fix the leak?

Yes. The cylinder accidentally sustained a drop impact that may cause the leak at that area.
I think is safer to replace the complete main shut off valve.
