Hi everyone, I have a small 10gal "pond" setup on my terrace (not ground floor) with a papyrus, a water lily and some duckweed. Had a trio of guppies in there, but this morning the two female ones simply disappeared.
I was worried they might have gotten stuck between papyrus or something and had a look everywhere, but they are simply gone. We dont have cats prowling around the premises, but I wonder whether a bird might have gotten them? Did this happen to anyone before?

A kingfisher could have gotten to them. I have water lotus and water lily pots with fish in them and the kingfishers treat them as buffet tables! Have put in metal mesh (pet pen type) overhead to keep them away.

That indeed was the issue I guess I got to put a net of some kind on top. Thanks for your input!
