no one can help?
Hi, I am keeping Tucano, africian butterfly barbs and weitzmani tetra. I feed live worms once or twice a week as weitzmani only eat live. Recently I got ich in the tank. I cant raise the temperature as i have plants and these fishes may not survive. I also have shrimps and snails. I am using EIHO ICH-EX so far its only 2 days. Dont see any lesser ICH. Can anyone help here?
feel like giving up, this is the 2nd time i get ICH. Last time all my tetras died. I have chiller and UV i dont know why i get ICH in my tank? I don't add fishes very often.
no one can help?
There are already many good articles written about ich. I just checked this one, it is accurate: http://www.tfhmagazine.com/details/a...ll-article.htm
Don't give up? Maybe you need to look into buying from safe sources or setting up a quarantine or hospital tank.
Good luck!
Get a hospital/quarantine tank and heater. Only way to stop ICH is to stop it's life cycle.
Train your weitzmani tetra to eat micro pellets. Can be done. Stop feeding live worms. It can be source of parasite and pathogens.
Introduce frozen bloodworm as it's safer/clean before introducing micro pellets.
Always quarantine new fish and plants to prevent ICH and other infectious diseases.
