Been reading about aquascaping for some time. Decided to try my hand at it.

Bottom layer - Normal Potting Soil
    Background - Capped with Gravel
Foreground - ADA Amazonia Powder (Wallet is empty now)

    Hardscape - Seiryu Stones

I intended for the stones to make up a broken arc. Left and center stones are in the background and middleground respectively to create some sense of depth.

Any feedback is welcome, I am open to suggestions.

If you could raise the background soil higher to about like 2/3 of tank, it would look good.

Thanks! I followed your posts on AQ! After watching your video, I went to polyart today and bought the plastic grid to line the bottom of my tank. Had to dig 1/4 of the tank up. Managed to raise the background higher but will buy more black gravel to improve it. Honoured to hear your comment!

Glad to here my post could helps.
Gravel substrate is fine for the plants to grow. In case it is lack of nutrients, you can buy some root tabs too push in substrate so that plants can uptake from there. Liquid fertilizers would be beneficial for your tank once it is flooded. Cheers!
