Can't help with converting marine tank to freshwater use. There's lots of info out there in Google.
But I want to point out it's SUMP, not be slump. No "L".

Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
Hahaha ya first tjme using that word usually its just canister
And think slump might be better cos its sounds more like a dirty tank lol
Btw Vinz, is there any water changing tool that can be bought to make water changes easier? Or still buckets? Cos that’s the part I dreading about big tanks lol
Buckets? It'll take you forever!
Get a hose. I have a super long one that can go from my tank to the balcony drain and tap. I use HozeLock type connectors for secure and easy connections.
I also attach the hose to an old filter inlet/outlet pipe with strainer to hook on the tank for draining and refilling.

You can use a marine built tank for freshwater use . You need to clean the tank and remove all calcium deposit on the glass of the tank . Then fill the whole tank and sump with tap water and let it run for a few weeks so that the water will absorb any salt deposit . While the tank is running with the freshwater , look around and remove any algae and remaining calcium deposit in the tank and sump . Do a few 50 percent or even a 100 percent water change to remove any remaining salt and calcium deposit from the tank . If the tank kas an overflow compartment , make sure all sides of the overflow compartment has freshwater going through it for the water to absorb any salt deposit .
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.
Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.
Thanks for the advice, impatience got the better of me. I just cycled the tank for a week with old media and did a 90% water change. Hopefully I be able to scrap thru lol
