Hello everybody, first time posting here!

i currently have a 2 ft planted tank. would like some low tech( no CO2) carpet plant options. I was thinking of eleocharis parvula or elocharis mini, maybe Monte carlo? My soil is tropica aquarium soil powder and my light is a beamswork high lumen 60.

Hi, I feel that it is quite a challenge without C02. Maybe with riccia fluitans is doable.

You could have setup plain sand as your substrate if you intent to do low maintenancea and low tech setup.
Rooted plants like hairgrass is doable but will take a lot longer to carpet.
I suggest getting lots of anubias nana petite and place it with it's rock to look like a carpeting plant staugryne repens.

I have a round porcelain tank (external diameter 58cm) with small fishes and java moss. I have NEVER used anything AT ALL. No oxygen, no carbon dioxide, no filter, no change of water, etc for a decade and the fishes never died. This is because there is already a natural balanced sustainable 100% maintenance-free ecosystem set up by the plants, fishes and good bacteria themselves in the water. This is also how our earth survives if we do not destroy it.

I'm willing to let go of the fishes and the plants for free as I am moving. Condition is that must not feed the small fishes to bigger fish.

You may contact me here but I hardly log in here. You can go to Carousell and search porcelain fish tank and contact me there. I'm located in Clementi. Thanks.

thanks all for the suggestions and advice. I ended up getting some Cory's and decided not to go with a carpet plant. However, I do have some Staurogyne repens along the side of my tank. Might have a go with just those, but having issues with them. Will be putting up another thread regarding that. Thanks again.

Anubias are good plants to keep without CO2. But do need decent lighting.

I do have some anubias nana petite and some stem plants planted at the back, with some Cryptocryone Wendtti green. I will definitely keep my options open in the meantime for more plants(not necessarily carpet) options to add to my tank.
