If you're not looking for any particular species, green water is all around you, just go to any pond, or look up friends who keep goldfish, terrapins, tilapia, etc. Or come to my house to get some if you really can't find any elsewhere.

For pure species, you can talk to Iwarna, they can get you Florida Aqua Farm products or similar stuff. Or you can talk to SFA, I believe they sell live Nannochloropsis to the aquaculture industry - in large quantities.

    Re: looking for micro-algae culture

You're most welcome. I used to culture green water at home to feed daphnia and fairy shrimp. It wasn't hard to keep the GW blooming, but it gets tedious. and sometimes my species composition changes and my plankton don't eat it. To keep pure cultures going you need a source of pure algae somewhere, such as in a stock cupboard or something.

At the end of the day, it was too tedious for me. I switched over to inert feeds like yeast and spirulina in the long run. I also considered using frozen micro algaes - those aren't a bad idea too.

All the best, and if you come up with a good method, let us know
