    Hi All,

I intend to upgrade my 2ft tank to a 4ft tank.

Currently I am using an external canister for the 2ft tank with pressurized Co2 injection via inline atomizer.

My plan is to add 1 more external canister to the new 4ft tank to improve the flow and filtration therefore I am thinking whether should I add another Co2 system to the new external canister to improve the Co2 distribution?

Anyone has done this type of setup before and would appreciate what are your thoughts and feedback.

    Thank you.

I haven't done a dual CO2 setup, but I do run a large 6ft planted tank with sump.

Your idea of a dual CO2 injection would be ideal, although just 1 CO2 system should work too.

It need not be a whole new system. Just put in 2 identical inline CO2 diffusers and use a splitter to split the CO2 from your current set up.

    @ vinz
    Thanks for the advise.

With regard to the splitter, can I use those splitter for air or I need a special type of splitter and where should I place the splitter? After the bubble counter?

You should get a proper high pressure splitter that can replace your current bubble counter. Then use 2 bubble counters. This ensures that you can get even distribution of CO2 to each filter. Ideally identical bubble counters.

Or you could use a wavemaker to distribute the co2 around your tank by directing the co2 output under the wavemaker .
