Your tank is mot cycled.
You have to wait for ammonia to be 0, nitrite 0 and nitrate (5-20).
This takes time unless u wanna invest in beneficial bacteria which can be bought from most local store.

Dear all Sifu,
I’ve tried twice adding fire red shrimps to my tank but all died.
First tried was due to bad water parameters. I ended up buying API KH/GH test kit, ammonia test kit and ph test kit. Tested whole day and configured the parameters as follow:
KH: 2 drops turn blue
GH: 4 drops turn yellow
PH: 6 plus
Annmonia: 0.25
I didn’t test TDS. Newbie is trying to keep shrimps but failed.
Oh, my tank is 25 litres and have driftwood plant and kind of big as well like a tree
my kids were disappointed each time and hence looking for advise and help. Thanks much!

If its fire red shrimp, most of the parameters will be fine as they can accept it.
Once your tank is cycled, you will need to drip acclimate the shrimp with the tank water before adding them into the tank.

I am sure you have another aquarium in your House. can you take some sponge/media out of that tank and cycle the tank for 24 hours and then add the shrimp ?
Thanks for the suggestion. Yes I did that and could see cycling is happening.
I always run a tank for 6 months before adding shrimp. The stability always does better.
U can try a drip acclimate way before u add the shrimp, cause shrimp are sensitive to temp change especially small tank setup. I have a apex monitoring system, can see the temp go up 3 degree in my 30 litres tank but 1 degree only in my 450 litres tank.

I would also suggest using a larger tank. I have mine (not fire red shrimp) in an 80L tank, with no losses at all since setup 3.5 years ago, but when I tried to replicate my success in a 20L, all shrimp died within 2 weeks, despite cycling it beforehand and adding beneficial bacteria products. I wish you the best of luck! Don't give up!
