    Hi i'm fairly new to this hobby and started taking care of fish since Oct last year. Its my first try on aquascaping with the inspiration with this design https://images.app.goo.gl/QM3MGLsrp2m8E5CJ9. What aquarium rock looks closest to this? I don't have knowledge of the name of rocks and dragonstone is the only rock I know. Also, what plant will look like the same as the trees in the picture

    You can have a mixture of dragon rock and seiyru stone. But both of these rocks are not cheap

    Thanks for the reply. I manage to find a grayish dragon rock at my LFS but it was 12$ per kg so i haven't bought it yet. I'm planning to order online blue colored quartz sand as substrate. Is it safe to use in my aquarium?

    Sand = neutral ph buffer.
    Depending on the type of funa u will be keeping, it may or may not be safe. Quats are usually sharp/edgy which is not good for cory/pelco as it may injure them.

    Other than that, it serve no other purpose other than aesthetic

    Dunno why i can't upload pics here. Here is a photo of work in progress of my tank. I'm planning to add soil at the back to add height and so I can try to do a carpeted grass at the back ground. As for the stones, these two will do for now. The java ferns and other plants are my old plants and still thinking to whether to keep them or not in this tank.

    This is where i got the idea for the landscape:

    Not able to see the link u provided for your idea but i believe it is from one of the aquascapping comp winner.

    Hahaha nice scape btw. But i doubt your hair grass will do well as you are using sand

    Here is the latest update of my tank. Didn't have aquascape glue I just wedged in the java moss in the cracks for the rock. I dont know what plant is the other one. I just use java fern java moss and the one that looks like a pine tree. I bought them in long stems and cut it to make it look like small trees. Will the java moss turn back green? When i bought it at C328 already that color.
