Your temperature? Ferns and mosses do best only when it's below 28C, generally. 5 hours is also rather short a lighting period... how about trying 7-8 hours?

got some java ferns from another guy in the forum.
but doesn't seems to be growing well, some leaves are turning "brown"
hmmmm...thought Java fern is pretty easy to grow, but dun know wats wrong with my tank leh,

mine is
3ft tank, around 36gallons,
running on 2x36W PL lights, lighting hours ard 5 hours per day,
kh=4, ph= 7.2, DIY co2 @3bps.
just bought Seachem Flourish, hopefully adition of liquid fertilisers help!!!

Lighting around 5 hours a day? Increase to 10.
Your Taiwan moss is not doing well, that shows temperature is no good. Get a fan or a chiller set.
Seachem flourite won't help your Java Fern/Taiwan moss, since they aren't supposed to be rooted in the gravel.
