For any reasons you can think of, or experienced it in your tank. Like to hear some opinon and also members can learn from each other in some ways.

For me, the plant I really hate is riccia. It started me into this hobby because of the pearling effect. But after a while, it feels like a diease . No matter how hard you try to remove them, they seem to find a way to stay in your tank. My solution is, tear the tank down and get a new tank .

Another plant is always never fail to drive me mad is crypto, regardless of species, it never never take off in my tank. I tried everything and they never make it submersed. Emersed growing isn't counted

ok, plants I love. Any stemmed plants seem to grow in my tank. I had people telling me how difficult some plants are. But surprisely most stemmed plants do rather well in my tanks. The ones I have problems is probably due to the low temperature requirement, which I do not have

    some of my fav. plants
    1) glosso
    2) Rotala macrandra 'narrow' leaf
    3) Ludwigia sp 'pantal' and 'cuba'
    4) Tonina 'belem' (this plant never seem to die off , even under shade, they still survive)

no lah..seriously... err.. i think probably most of the hygros... They grow like MONSTERS!! then when you want to remove them..they mess up your water..and drag your other plants all over the place!! hate them!! i dont hate riccia cos i've alredy conceded defeat...its like saying hi to and old enemy..
    Plants i like..

also rotala macranda narro leaf..but only for low tech tank..
rotala sp. Goias... very cute...very nice.. when grown in a big lot..WAAA!!lol
and...hmm..the odd hygrophila.. sp. pantanal.. dont know why but this guy grow so slowly in my tank...so i like him..
and lastly ... unknowingly...seem to have an affinity for Ludwigia arcuata these few days...i think they look awesome when placed together with dead very very thin twigs...very nice!!

    Hate: Riccia, Duckweed.
Duckweed can sometimes come in accidentally from plants bought from farms. And they multiply quite fast. If not removed in the first few days, they can be a nuisance later. But still not as bad as Riccia.

    Love:
Crypts - I like their slow growth and mid-sized.
Hair grass - Another low maintenance plant I like.

I dunno if I love or hate my crypts. They took up the whole of my forground and feel like clearing them to try glosso or hair grass, but they had survived lots of abuse in the past including bba on leaves and now are growing nice and strong, feel wasted to pull them out. Also, my otos love them and the taiwan moss, erect moss and pellia are growing well under its leaves and the kulli loach loves to hide in it. So leaving it as it has been for the past 3+ years.

can some bright engineer[eheim quality with local prices] make a adapter for canister filter output head that can auto swivel[like table fan]
this is so that if you plant hairgrass, fern, stem they wave like in the wind.
blows all tha crap up to be sucked up too...
any well connected ppl? i notice that the co2 reactor could do with this attachment as well as certain corners don't seem to do well no matter how even the fertilizing is.

Like - Crypts, Ferns and Lotuses.

Hate - Duckweeds (The battle against them in my previous 2.5ft tank is still vivid!)

Mosses - always fail me, but I've not given up on them yet.

Maybe you got wrong type of moss. Want to try my chrismas moss? I also failed in my first try but this one I think will sure work for you too. What is more, you can get it free from me.

The important thing is you need to run you fans 24/7.

I would think so kc. Temperature could be the reason.

Guess what...even java moss, where most would say the easiest, and some say throw them in any tank and they will grow.....just turn brown in my tank.

hate riccia, hate moss, hate duckweed.

no matter how I handle the moss, eventually bits come off. get everyone, clog up the filter inlet etc and eventually all the moss dies.

I hate any plant that is red because it either die or turn green.

One thing that I learn about moss, duck weed and riccia. You can only have one of them.

all stem plants. When they are mid way at the tank, the view is awesome.
But when they reach the water roof, you are better off with a new rescape.
    Cheers,
    Andrew
