There's nothing to buy from the exhibition as it seems to be more of a commercial exhibition as compared to the last one in 2003.

Seems like the LFS are really hard hit by the decline in demand.

The good news is that Complete Five Plan Products will resurface again in SG.

AQ:How many of the forum staff were sitting inside the booth? Just curious.

Did you notice that the Rainbow booth had Aquazoo magazines going for 5 for $10? Of course, they might have been older copies as I didn't go through them.

FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.

I saw this underwater lamp....kind of cool. Might be a good idea to see what my shrimps are doing on the dark side. Upon asking, the salesgirl said not for sale. Also never tell me where I can get. ?? show for what then?

I went with the intention of buying:
    • Long scraper [plastic] saw one for $54 + $12 or a replacement plastic bit. Decided that getting my arms wet is ok
    • Automatic Dosing, wanted to see a unit that could do 3 or 4 mixtures [Macros, Micros, PO4 & H2O]. No one could help, just too hard.
    • Cyclop-eeze – 17$ bought a tin of whole freeze dried, but no one on the stand really answered the question of “This is for the invertebrates...does it sink to the bottom. The best suggestion was soak it first.
    • 3 or 4 foot pipe brush for cleaning hoses. Didn’t see any.
    • Soft silicon transparent hoses… saw some, but had to buy the whole filter.
    • “Jebao” Grey 6 fans in a single unit fan –Impulse buy and cannot remember the price
    • Dymax. told them that my new 3 month old Hilux MH’s light really make a racket and it is not normal. They suggested that I return them to see if there are any problems, this could take weeks, so said that most people would only have one set. Got the impression that they knew this, knowing it would reduce the number of warranty claims.
    • Close impulse buy, one stall had one had a rather nice big piece of wood, it was for sale at 25$. Managed to walk away.

Stopped at the AQ booth and thanked who was there for a creating/supporting a great community

Does anyone know where do the sponsored chillers end up after the show? The chillers I'm referring to were those found at the Marine Competition Tank section. There were so many of them!

The supplier had a big booth at the front of exhibition hall 2 stalls away from Sera booth. I was standing there like, 5 min yet the salesman ignored me

I am not sure who you are referring too, but I have an arctica chiller [bought recently], well I wanted to talk to them about another... twice I visited and waited around, twice I was ignored.

I can see very little point in vendors going to a show, to display and sell equipment, when they do not seem interested in talking. I find that if you get that sort of treatment during the sales cycle then the post purchase support is worse.

I heard they were sold at a discounted price... $400 something, I think.

I missed a great deal on something else I was eyeing.

Don't ask. It was already reserved. Some of the mod, even myself was eyeing them.

    $400! $400! $400! $400! I didn't reserve, I was thinking of $ close to retail pricing!

Just as well they ignored me, I am relived but a bit annoyed that I didn’t know.

Edit: I can't believe $400, it is just to good to be true, it is the sort of story that become a myth... next it will whole tank setup for $400

Wow, now I'm wondering if I heard wrongly... I just checked a local online LFS... 1/10HP Artica is S$1,200.00.

Argh... just confirmed with second source... the competition ones were sold for around the $400 +/- a few $10s.

    * Starts handing out portable brick walls *

This news is killing me.... aaaaaarrrrrggghhhh. We might have to remove this thread as it will cause much to much pain to those that missed out and possibly kill those that bought retail.
