I might be setting up a planted tank either in my house or outdoors under shade...
I am going to provide DIY C02 and other elements which i am gonna buy at the LFS>..

Will add lots lots of plants and probably 10 dwarf otos... and maybe some other algae eating fish...

Do u think Algae will be a major problem?(if in sunlight?)

Outdoors? Depends on where you place it and how much light it gets. If it's in deep shade, or placed against and below the HDB corridor parapet, light might not be very bright. If it's high and on inner side of the corridor facing out towards the open, then light is probably a lot higher.

In bright light situation, provide lots of CO2 (30ppm) and nutrients. Depending on the size of your tank, a DIY CO2 might not make the grade.

In a lower light situation, CO2 still helps and the dosing routine is different. Look up Ronwill's postings... he's got quite a few low-tech planted tanks in his corridors.

PS. Since you like arowanas and planted tanks, have you considered a planted arowana tank?
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Whether algae will bloom or not depends on how well you make your plants grow.

Errr... your question is basically asking people to write a book for you. Do you have any specific questions? We have a beginner's section... browse thru there. There are a few stickies with good links to start with.
