I was surprised to see my apple snail layed eggs in 2ft tank this morning. The eggs located about 1" above the water level, what should I do?

No one has got any experience on this?
I read one articule saying that one should do nothing but just make sure the eggs always above water level.
So, just waiting for 2 weeks and hope for something to happen..

The thing is, the size of all the eggs, about the size of a small fish ball sticking up in tank glass....

    Quite ugly..

Arorules, I think star-flog is asking about how he can care for the eggs until it develops into little snails.

Is it pinkish and looks like a raspberry?
Your apple snails are the yellow type right?
Oh, the rare old Whale, mid storm and gale. In his ocean home will be. A giant in might, where might is right. And King of the boundless sea.

Dun both about it! I heard Vincent got a whole tank of it! My snails also propagate but at a much slower rate compared to the normal ramshorn snails. I wonder if anyone out there manage to spawn their horned snails? I saw mine copulating but nothing came out of it.

    Cheers!

My apple snail layed cluster of eggs again this morning on another side of tank glass. Look like my 2ft Pleco tank's condition suit them very much...

I'm going to have a tank full of bright yellow apple snails.

Just found out the reason that the apple snails lay the egg above the water is to protect their eggs from predator fishes and others. In fact this snail can survive out of water.

Here's the link I found out this information as well as many in-depth knowledge on the snail:
    http://www.applesnail.net/

Was thinking of getting this snail but realised it can grow up to 15cm for certain species... wow...
    Cheers,
    Joe

Yup, going to keep them all. They kind of 'worry' in the beginning but after a while, OK. No problem.
