Well when i saw this, i simply had to rush for the cam and get a snapshot of him. A gecko,...... strangely enough wandering into the compounds of one of my vivariums. Now for those who are wondering if this is some kind of exotic gecko, nah ya're wrong. He's one of those common ones ya see but this variation is slightly different from the normal beige skin tones due to blending in with the surroundings he's in.

Anyway, here's 2 snapshots of him

After these photos were taken, apparently he just scrambled away in a huff. Guess he was not camera friendly i suppose...........

    Regards,
    Phillip.

Do you have any fishes kept there? Will they fall prey to this fellow?

Understand that friends come and go,

    Btw...what camera are you using?

I find your pictures very well taken. Certainly your skills are pro, but I believe the equipment also very solid. I am thinking of getting one soon...

Yup, actually he's one of many which just crawl in and slids out quietly. Kind of like a transit i guess. Mainly they're in to hone in on the smaller insects in the tanks.

Nope, no fishes at all for this particular one. Just some reeds in it. Even if there's fishes in it, more likely this fellar will fall prey to them!

I'm using the Olympus C770. I'm using manual configurations plus ample daylight and macro mode.

    Phillip.

Well since it's under "Adorable Moments", i'll just add on a few more. These are shots of my one of my favorite "buddies" i've at home now. It's a common greenback, a beautiful species by nature and a very, very shy one indeed.

After a while, he becomes more tame and daring, coming out once in a while to await for his crickets during feeding time.

These are pictures of him taking a dip in his pool. Enjoy

The last one has got to be my personal favourites. He tends to have a liking for air bubbles and just resting his chin on it.

Guys, if ya have any, do feel free to post up yours too!!

    Regards,
    Phillip.

I am impressed! Olympus cameras are the last thing that I would guess.

I used to have a nikon 880...very old already. Recently kaput..I am looking around. Currently high on my list is fx8. (not out yet). But this is a regular consumer type camera, don't think can take those nice shots that you have.

But I must say that you are very good. Not only your photography...your aquarium skills are also top notch. All your animals looked very happy.
