the correct name is Pseudomugil furcatus. you can find it at Gratiola, possibly Choong Sua.

Yup, I seen it but I thought it was a different fish.
Anyway, are these two names (Popondetta furcatus = Pseudomugil furcatus) actually refer to the same fish or there is no such fish as Popondetta furcata?

when used with Popondetta it would be furcata and not furcatus. this is because in Latin grammar furcatus is masculine while furcata is feminine. Popondetta is also femnine and such the feminine form of furcata must be used.

In any case Popondetta furcata is no longer valid as Pseudomugil furcatus is an earlier name which takes precedent.

These are rainbowfishes as Choy has pointed out. As for breeding, they are plant spawners that produce VERY SMALL fry.

You should add a little salt to their water every now and then. The forktail (furcatus) and its fellow genus mate, the signifer, are very aggressive feeders and will not hesitate to bully smaller fish.

If you guys want something more beautiful, smaller and much more peaceful, try Pseudomugil gertrudae.

I do a search on Pseudomugil gertrudae (as photo) and this is indeed a very beautiful fish. Do you know how much per fish? and where can find?

Roughly a dollar each. You can find them at Choong Sua Aquarium.

I have some of my own but they are not breeding. The males are stunning when they start to display to each other. Very peaceful species.

By the way, that thumbnail image is upside down. Here's how it should look like.
