Folks need to realise that plants still need the same type of nutrients in the end. Why pay for more when you can do it cheap?

I am planing on getting a new 3 ft planted tank. Was thinking of using the ada amazon as i was planning on keeping discus or aptiso ... low ph is good for these fishes. I guess the only "problem" i might face is not being able to easily measure the amount of co2 right?

also would like to know what are the type of plants that do better with the ada amazon? i.e. lower ph water ?

Plants want the CO2 and not some pH which is myth that has spread pretty wide. pH along with KH values are used to determine level of CO2..that is all that is with those values...not some pH control. ADA aquasoil has binded NH4 in it though which would help folks who do not fertilize NO3 or dose too little but in the long run it will still get used up.
