we love our ABCs, don't we?
wks, i got this book from amazon.com, COLORED ATLAS OF MINIATURE CATFISH Every Species of Corydoras, Brochis & Aspidoras.
Quote: The genus Corydoras Lacepede, 1803, belongs to the armored catfish family Callichthyidae. Along with Brochis and Aspidoras they make up one of the two subfamilies of the family, the Corydoradine (the other subfamily is the Callichthyinae which includes, among others, the aquaristically familiar genera Hoplosternum and Dainema). Corydoras, Brochis and Aspidoras are very similar, the differences being such that all the species could easily be placed into a single genus. Many aquarists are familiar with species of these three genera as they all have representatives that are all commonly imported for the aquarium trade. It is the largest genus, Corydoras, however, that provides the bulk of the hobby material.
remember seeing brochis in rainbow, but aspidoras...[:]
