    Hi Everyone,

Intended to setup abovementioned size planted tank. Can anyone with this size tank recommend the best lightings requirement, eg 4 x 55W, 6 x 55W & etc. You make also recommend the accessories to be used to help me in this setup. Currently are the accessories that I have:

    1) 3L CO2 cylinder with soleniod
    2) Bio ball CO2 reactor
    3) Jepo 825, 1000L/H
    4) Surface Skimmer
    5) 6 in 1 fan

    Thanks,
    Kevin Lee

No offence. But I think you need to give people more details if you want to get an advise.

Are you going for a low maintainance or high maintainance tank

    Cheers

    Apology

Sorry, I'm not too sure what maintenance should I go for. Therefore seeking recommendation from those who experience in 4ft plant tank. The only plant I have in mind is to have glosso for my fore ground. What do you recommend?

the general guideline for such "regular" sized tank is 2-4W per US gallons. hence your tank would be (120×45×45)/3785 = 64USG

you would be looking for anything from 120W to 260W. i.e. as low as 4×55W to as high as 8×36W. important is to ensure the ends of the tank are also adequately lit unless you design them with low light plants.

    New tank down size

    Hi,
Had decided to down size to 3'x1.5'x1.5'. Please advise the recommend lights requirement. NA, Mr Chan recommended 2 sets of 2 x 36? What about 2 sets of 2 x 55W? Anyone has the same tank size, please recommend. Thank you.
