i like that last shot!!! should have angled it a bit mroe so that you can make the fish look 3D using the refraction..really neat..
Long time never hold my camera in front of the tank already. But thanks to Azmi from EC, I managed to take some shots, really enjoyed it.
Start with Betta coccina, cheap but beautiful fish. I finally got a satisfied picture of the red dward type.
Dario dario, big and nice male fish were fighting all the time, were the best subject.
The rest are common fish, but in good shapes.
I like this one quite a lot.

Comments pls,

very nice shots.. make me want to put some dario dario in my tank.. haha
The last shot was a nice one Tree. By the way, I think those are some sort of panchax species. If you took this during the killie gathering, then they should be Aplocheilus kirchmayeri.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable

wow superb photography, using flash with some soft box setup?
would love to know how. these tiny fellas don't really have any modelling experience and dart along like crazy not like slow posy discus.

Just realised something, Tree, you mispelt Hamilton's name on the Dario pic. Should be Hamilton, not Hamiltom.

Hey man!
I like the first two. The hatchfish and the boraras is nice too!
So when are we going to see more?
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
ok, thanks, I will try to change the "m".
Shi fu..where got fish to take now? my wallpaper is the cardinal tetra now..finally replaced the B.simplex.
I am trying to sell away my 300, 350 is getting cheaper and cheaper now.
You won't regret getting the 350D. You can shoot at ISO 1600 with good results.Originally Posted by MrTree

What fish is the Dario Dario? Wow, you sure take good pics. I only have a lousy digital cam... Cannot take such nice pics...
About 1500 now, if mine can sell 800 I am going for it already.
Same fish, same camera, but is a damn lousy picture.
So these were all taken with teh 300 ah?
Justikanz, Dario dario is a little member of the Badis family. Here's an image of mine.. quality nowhere near Tree's or Benny's.
First image flashed, second without flash and last is an image of two males sparring. Very blur because my hand wasn't stable.. damn I need a tripod.

Was wondering... How come it looks like the Badis Badis but yet is known as the Dario... But it is flashier than the Badis... Takes prepared food? Most Badis would not...
Well the scientists found enough differences between the Dario species and Badis species to split them into two groups.
Mine do not take prepared foods. I feed mine with live foods. However they can be made to adapt to crushed flake and pellets. Only thing is, its not easy to make them adapt.
