Altums will eat shrimps and small tetras. I think they will also overcrowd the tank (they need space to grow), which is probably at its maximum capacity already. These aren't cheap fish – give them the care and space they deserve.

Thanks. Have you come across where can I get it?
I will advice against it too...
The altums will stressed the cardinals. Shrimps will become food for them too.

OK. Sigh...
my 5 altums will polish off 200 pcs of malayan shrimps in a heavily planted tank in 4-5 days !!!!
started off wth 6 altums but left with 5 cos 1 of them is stupid or perhaps daring eoungh to try an oto. choked and died.
70 cardinals and now left wth .....perhaps 10+ pcs.
Use 9 altums in my 2 metres tank and the cleaning service (shrimps) hiding below the crypt wendtii tropica.
But yes, the Altum is ready to clean the shrimp and other small size fishes specially when they (always) hungry..
I'm not using the Oto as my friend who keep Altum said that the altum clean the oto's in a week time only.
So I use the Borneo suckerfish and it works well.
The tetra I use is adult black phantom which quite a size & not slender.
The advantage of of altum is the resale value is quite high...specially if the physical condition is perfect.
