Read that amazon swords can do quite well with hard alkaline water, bright lights, co2 and adding 1 teaspoon of salt per 10 galloon of water.

Anyone have any experience with this?

    E. major/E. bleheri, the standard swords, did ok with me when I dabbled with African cichlids decades ago - dolomite, salt and all. Co2/base fert isn't necessary. Just give them enough substrate to root well, and good water circulation/moderate lighting.
