    One day without light for aquatic plant is it ok?

    Hi guyz i have a question to ask, if one whole day we nv switch on the light for our aquatic plants, what will happen to them? Is it ok for the plants without any light for just one day?

    Today too busy with work, forget to call back home to remind my family member to switch on the light....

    Anyway my tank consists of mainly japonica n various crypt.
    Earth can satisfy our needs but she can't satisfy our greed, live light on this planet coz if we lose it, there ain't no others

    Invest in a timer... it costs less than $20 and you can control your lighting periods as erractically as you want.

    Bear in mind not to turn on and off lights as you wish, plants need to get adjusted to lighting periods so they can grow.

    I used to get it for $9.90 and they even bundle in a 2-way adaptor.

    Timer costs can range quite a bit depending on where you buy them. The cheapest that I have seen so far is at Giant at Turf City. If I recall correctly, I saw one at only 7 bucks.

    I would suggest you invest in a decent timer.

    No point saving a few bucks to create more problem.

    even if u do a complete blackout for 3 days, the plants will still be ok. only thing is all the leafs will try to reach the surface of the water which in turn blockout the light below if u don't cut them away.
