set up a non co2 4ft planted tank not long, plants included java moss, erect moss, taiwan moss and java ferns....temp around 26c. no liquid fert added!

did not do water change....just been adding 1.5l cold water daily. as for lightings, 2*40w on for 8hrs daily!

recently observe water changed light greenish color, suppose to be algae! how to encounter it?!?! lights too long hrs?!?!

erm........so far , logwood, driftwood and plants are ok, not affected by algae. only appear on glass of tank!

Anyone can advice me of this!

How old is the tank? , What is the bioload? , Can't help much as the tank capacity is also not specify...

-UV light may eradicate the problem.
-Reduce light period to 5-6 hours.

actually was a rescaped tank, previously been 9mths planted with co2.
    upon rescaped, 50% water changed.

moss-java, erect, taiwan probably take up 50% of tank...java ferns+woods take up 20%

will switched to 6hrs lighting per day.....as for now, water need to be changed or stay put?!?!
