    Re: white cloud mountain minnow

WCMMs are active fishes and feed at all levels of the water column. Given a varied diet in their dedicated tank, these minnows can breed like rabbits.

Good community fishes that are gegarious only amongst themselves, doesn't harass smaller tankmates, are tolerant to pH and fresh water changes. Hardy adults can reach 1.5" with alpha males displaying a dark red near the eyes.

Inactive fishes staying at the surface can only mean oxygen-deficiency or bacterial infection. Decent water quality and some current will keep them happy. What else would you like to know?

I think there are surface to mid-level swimming fishes. I seldom see them near the bottom. Esp when I come near, feeding time?

I doubt my tank has O2 dificiency cos my Glowlight Tetras do swim near the bottom and I don't see my cories going up for air either. So it could be their natural environment or they are hungry!

Ron: your sig is really cool!

    Re:

Hi Daniel (did I remember the name correct?),
Your observations of healthy fishes are correct and the only fishes that hangs at the surface are either sick or they're hatchets!
