What is this algae? How should I treat it? It is greyish colour and slimy and stringy.
    Cheers,

No point in keeping the leaves. Just prune them off and provide good conditions for plant growth.

    Peter,

what should I do about my tank conditions? It does not only affect this plant but others as well. What algae is it?
    Cheers,

Seems like staghorn to me..might be wrong though. Did you do anything major recently (uprooting of plants or stir up the substrate?) and did not do a large water change after that? Ammonia is what triggers this algae.

For algae, the same deal applies. Prune them off, clean filter followed by a large water change of 50% or more. Add more plant mass if low (important!..pack them in as if the tank has already grown in.). Do EI for the nutrients according to light intensity. Crank the CO2 high during the photoperiod (critical..nothing works well if this is not well set.).

    Regards
    Peter Gwee
