I have some guppy fry that were just born the other night. I can't wait for them to grow as their mom and dad are gorgeous HalfBlack pastels.

The growth of fry depends on the quality of the water and how much you feed them. Keep the water good and clean and feed them 2-3 times a day and they should grow a bit quicker.

Guppy frys take around 3 months to reach adulthood.

By 1month, should be able to mix with the parents cos their size big enuff not for their parents to snack on them.

Good water and food is the key to their growth!

I was checking out my guppy fry this morning...and I noticed a couple of them looked rather chubby and well fed..."Hhhmm"..I say to myself..."they shouldn't be that fat, I havn't fed them yet this morning....there must be plenty of infusoria in there for them"

So, I'm watching the fat ones closely when one of the larger ones swims up behind another of the smaller ones and.....*SLURP*....in it went...right down the hatch !! I can't believe he ate it !! Just like that !! Now, he wasn't THAT much bigger than that little fella, but that didn't stop him...he proceeded to lurk around looking for another victim while I took off like a bat out a H-E-double toothpicks....looking for the fishnet !!

I got the three large fat ones out and put them in a tank to themselves....the little cannibles.....I watched for awhile, but all the others are pretty much the same size so I think they're ok. Those three bigger ones were older than the rest, not sure how much older but they really aren't that much bigger than the new ones..I really didn't expect that....lol....

    Ah...the drama....
