You dun need any medicine to get rid of planaria. As long as you reduce feeding. they will be gone in time. Actually personally I prefer to have a few of them, because they are eating the snail eggs...cleaning the glasses and rocks. =)
but now no more planaria already... now only relying on the killer snails to deal with the pest snails.
Guppies eat them.
sickening!!
my guppies only tank got planaria!! think I feed them too much liao.. must starve them for a few days..
remember not to kill them by using some tools, they will multiply very fast.
Just control your feeding, usually after i feed,i will scope up the leftovers.
It's true, planaria attacks shrimplets. I personally eye witness it. Please proceed with caution. It attacks adults also, i can see whitish scars on some adult shrimps, personally witness a planaria attempt to bite my adult shrimp tail, and the adult just kick and flick it away. Planaria are harmful, I'm seeking help to remove them too.. but just to tough to eliminate all....
I bought the GUSH seed shrimp trap and just overnight, it trapped not only seed shrimps, but many many planaria..
Can anyone confirm if vermex is not safe for CRS tank? Just bought a bottle, don't dare to add...
Vermex is meant to kill those tiny white worms and not specifically to control Planaria. Wrong dosage may end up with your shrimps dying.
Fish.. Simply Irresistable
Back to Killies... slowly.
I used to see it in my tank but now gone...guess my parot eats them
